Job Summary
Work Shift
1 - First Shift
Are you the type of person who enjoys leading a cross-functional team to identify, organize, and deliver work to meet business objectives? In this role you will oversee all aspects of planning, execution, and delivery of one or more projects to deliver quality facility outcomes.
We are looking for an organized, results-oriented, persuasive leader to manage facilities projects at Vermeer.
What You’ll Do
1.
Provide leadership and coordinate project team assignments to plan, execute, deliver, and close facilities projects.
2.
Develop and gain approval of project plans that align goals with business objectives and are at an appropriate level of detail to support the project's scale.
3.
Coordinate internal and external teams for project work including HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning), electrical, construction, demolition, and safety.
4.
Manage the execution of project work by monitoring the progress of the team and vendor resources to deliver solutions that meet business requirements and quality standards within the timeline.
Address issues/action items/risks and implement corrective measures to align schedule and budget.
5.
Communicate project plans and status throughout the project to stakeholders, customers, and managers.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Manufacturing Engineering in with minimum three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management concepts, processes, and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of construction of industrial facilities with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams across multiple trades and maintain a high level of trust and confidence.
- Problem solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
- Good understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of project scheduling tools and practical experience using them.
- Strong decision maker with experience leading cross-functional diverse teams.
Travel
- Occasional to frequent travel is expected of this position contingent upon project scope
Work Location
ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus.
If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
