Work Location: Onsite at our plant located at 1805 E Washington St, Mt Pleasant, IA 52641 Primary Purpose and Function The Project Manager is tasked with overseeing projects throughout the production process, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of job instructions across all relevant departments.
Their primary objective is to maintain customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products in a timely manner, all while upholding the standards and values of Innovairre and its associated companies.
Serving as the primary point of contact between clients, the sales team, and internal operations, Project Managers utilize their professionalism and commitment to facilitate smooth project execution and ensure client needs are met efficiently.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Maintains workflow commitments through the life of the job, by following job “milestones” generated by the Scheduling department and communicates with each department to ensure completion of each process throughout the life of the job.
Designates completion dates at each stage of production and ensures the completion of the project meets the deadline and/or mail date.
Compares project specifications from Innsight to quote and queries any discrepancies that may necessitate a re-quote.
Enters the Print Work Order detailing the print, laser, and production specifications for each project in the PrintStream Operating system.
Constructs a package mock-up using the client-furnished specifications and provides package samples to the Postal Coordinator to ensure postal regulations are met and secures sign-off on artwork.
Ensures that the client’s artwork follows manufacturing guidelines as established by Innovairre and submits files of the artwork with the Print Order Form to the Project Engineer.
Logs the client’s data files, file layout, laser mock-ups, and data processing instructions into PrintStream and Innsight as needed and completes and submits instructions to the Data Processing team, including client’s data files, file layout, and laser mock-ups.
Uses the client-signed proposal for pricing and determines if the pre-bill is partial or final and maintains client inventory.
Checks and inspects artwork to make certain clients' specifications are followed and processes for client approval.
Assists in training new Project Managers as requested by Team Lead or Department Manager and attends additional training classes or seminars (on and off site) when requested to enhance skills and experience.
Interprets and translates client instructions into work instructions and ensures constant interaction with the customer on schedule attainment, proof approvals, and any other questions that may occur during the life of the job.
Interacts daily with the operations team to ensure the manufacturing of the project is meeting the client’s expectations and performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Position Requirements College Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Project Management or Customer Service experience within a manufacturing environment - 5 years’ is preferred but not required.
Knowledge and background in a Direct Mail environment that involves, offset print processing, digital print production, laser imaging, data processing, envelope converting, folding, and inserting are strongly recommended for this position.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong computer skills, such as Excel and Word are required, along with experience inputting data into ERP systems.
Highly detailed communication skills are required to convey project status or concerns to clients (both oral and written).
Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers and co-workers in a work environment that is driven by meeting deadlines.
Must show an aptitude to understand manufacturing guidelines and standards with high focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
Have the ability to work within a team-based environment with a desire and attitude to achieve team goals and objectives.
Must have the ability to execute and complete tasks in a timely manner, develop solutions for issues or problems that arise, and be able to establish priorities in a fast paced environment.
Must demonstrate accountability, the ability to execute, innovate, and urgency on a day-to-day basis.
