We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team.
The Phlebotomist II obtains and prepares specimens for analysis, is trained in Paternity Collections, processes Tissue, PAP, Cytology and blood/swab specimens, etc.
, for various reference laboratories, enters/batches reference lab orders, prints reports as assigned, answers/routes phone calls, monitors the pneumatic tube system, sorts/files faxes/orders/papers and receives specimens from outreach clinics.
*Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:*
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Ability to competently complete on-the-job training provided within the department.
* A minimum of 1 year of previous health care experience in a direct patient care related role.
Prior lab experience preferred.
* Certification as a nursing assistant is preferred not required
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.
00 - $28.
00 per hour
License/Certification:
* BLS Certification (Preferred)
