Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team.
As a Medication Aide, you will be responsible for assisting with medication administration and providing support to residents in a senior care facility.
This is an important role that requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities: - Administer medications to residents according to prescribed dosage and schedule - Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications - Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming - Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care - Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families - Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures - Provide emotional support and companionship to residents Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program - Current certification as a Medication Aide - Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology - Experience in home care, assisted living, or senior care settings is preferred - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals - Ability to perform physical examinations and take vital signs accurately - Familiarity with medication administration systems and procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail We offer competitive pay rates and benefits for full-time employees.
