Responsibilities
• The CNC Maintenance Technician performs advanced and expert level troubleshooting, diagnoses, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications of machinery
• This position operates mechanical equipment such as motors, hydraulic systems and pumps, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment, hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring and testing instruments
• Observe devices in operation to locate root cause of problem
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Repair and/or replace defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; test for electrical and hydraulic circuitry and mechanical systems; order supplies and repair items as necessary
• Support continuous improvement of the PM work instructions; adding, removing, defining these instructions and express improvements suggested to the Maintenance Manager
• Engage in proactive maintenance activities that include repairing air leaks, oil leaks, replacing components, continuous improvement activities, project work, and minor repairs to equipment
• Act as a proactive team member and work closely with the maintenance Supervisor
• Analyze and recommend engineered solutions to failures
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC problems
• Perform Lockout/Tag out procedures for equipment
• Lay out, wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and/or other machinery
• Provide leadership and assistance
