SIGN-ON BONUS - Up to $25,000
The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Director and is responsible for providing nursing care for acutely ill patients.
S/He performs assigned procedures that are within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Attending 100% of all mandatory in-services.
Completing all required training and continuing education.
Completing all competency requirements.
Completing physical and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients.
Creating/updating/individualizing nursing care plans for assigned patients in collaboration with the patient, and their significant others utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach.
Implementing and contributing to the Medical Plan of Care.
Accurately transcribing and implementing physician orders.
Documenting patients care and responses to care.
Preparing and administering medications using the 10 rights:

Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changes in nursing practice.

Completing variance reports regarding unexpected patient, and/or family, or employee incidents in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate age appropriate nursing care per ORCH policy/procedure and by meeting regulatory expectations from the Joint Commission and Center for Medicare/Medicaid.
EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited program of Registered Nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer prior experience in Medical/Surgical nursing, but not required.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
Current Iowa Registered Nurse License
Current BCLS verification
Medical-Surgical Certification preferred but not required
