REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager
General Responsibilities
Under the Assistant General Manager this position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of all Facilities and Environmental Operations for Honey Creek Resort.
This position is directly responsible for a complex facility management and construction program for Honey Creek Resort.
Position responsibilities encompass a variety of skill sets needed to direct a wide-ranging staff of professional trade positions, managers, and construction vendors.
Departmental functions involve oversight of facility maintenance staff, equipment, fleet vehicles and facilities.
Duties also include responsibility for the bulk of hazardous waste handling, recycling, underground tank compliance and other areas of technical compliance with environmental regulations.
Essential Functions:
* 1st Major Function - Responsible for overseeing all the daily operation and performance of
general maintenance of the entire property including: commercial systems, electrical,
refrigeration, plumbing, building repair, landscaping repair, supervise maintenance staf,
remodel and capital for entire property, understand the Risk/Safety Program and assist with
training and communicating this information with associates.
Overall responsibility for
department regarding Safety initiatives, applicable codes and regulations.
* 2nd Major Function - Direct all activities for the start-up and shut-down of all facilities, with
respect to security, water, sewer, electricity, propane, equipment, and snow removal.
Oversee
departmental compliance with all initiatives, applicable codes and regulations.
Assist in
developing capital budget for Maintenance Department.
Assist in overseeing contract/ sub-
contract repairs at HCR facilities.
Assist in planning of new construction, remodeling, and
alteration projects.
* 3rd Major Function - Assist with environmental programs (e.
g.
, pollution prevention/ solid
waste reduction, waste management, energy and water conservation, greenhouse gas
emissions, wildlife, messaging, and communications) related to reducing environmental
impact.
Identify and maintain compliance with all applicable policies, legal, and contractual
requirements.
Maintain proper documentation and records management, legal and
contractual requirements.
Provide assistance and/or supervision ni environmental projects
involving DNK, and gateway communities.
Maintain environmental compliance.
Prepare and
participate in environmental audits.
* All other duties as assigned.
Education:
* High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree preferred.
* General Facilities and maintenance experience required.
* Technical school and/or apprenticeship preferred.
* HVAC license preferred.
* Valid driver's license/CDL preferred.
Work Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration.
* 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
* Familiarity with safety compliance, OSHA, NPS, Environmental programs.
Specific Requirements:
* Requires lifting at least 70 Ibs.
