Fairfield Middle School Special Education Teacher
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education required
Strategist I Mild/Moderate required; Strategist II BD/LD preferred
Experience in classroom teaching in middle grades preferred
Have the ability to provide quality co-teaching and pull-out instruction
Meet the eight Iowa teaching standards and criteria.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Develops and implements programming according to student needs.
Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Effectively design data-driven instruction and interventions.
Collaborate with colleagues to provide seamless, student-centered instruction.
Builds positive relationships with parents and the community.
Exhibit willingness to be reflective and grow professionally.
Engage students and families in the program.
Utilize Leader in Me and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategies.
Willingness to pursue professional development opportunities.
Have the ability to provide quality co-teaching and pull out instruction.
